Aspens on Guanella Pass

After my original plans went south yesterday, I decided to take a drive in the mountains and check out some fall foliage. I drove up Guanella Pass, and the aspens were putting on quite a show. I took plenty of panoramic shots, but I also worked on something photographer Stephen Weaver talked about during the Colorado Photography Festival, which was the “intimate landscape”, which is essentially an isolated area of landscape with no sky or deep background included in the shot.
